What is Affiliate Marketing?
According to Wikipedia.org, “Affiliate marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts.” In other words, Affiliates use their web sites (i.e. Web Portals) to direct traffic to a primary website (in this case, www.oneworldbluestore.com ).One well-known example of Affiliate Marketing is Amazon.com’s Affiliate program. For more information about Affiliate Marketing, read the full article on http://www.wikipedia.org
What is a Web Portal and how does it work?
A Web Portal is a simple web site designed and set up by the One World Blue Web Portal Program. The Web Portal contains links to the products for sale at www.oneworldbluestore.com.When a customer makes a purchase from the One World Blue Store by clicking on a link in your Web Portal, you are given a commission for each sale (a specific percentage of the sale; Please review our V. COMMISSIONS policy below for a detailed breakdown of Commissions.)
What kinds of clients sign up for the One World Blue Web Portal Program?
Whether you are a non-profit organization seeking fundraising for your needs, a small business in search of further product lines to market, or an individual or family that wants an enterprise that can bring them sustainable income – the One World Blue Web Portal Program is right for you. You can devote just a few small hours a week or even work in the business full-time. The Web Portal Program may bring you additional income for extra bills or a vacation, or it may provide a sustainable income and help lead you to retirement.
Is it difficult to set up a Web Portal?
The Web Portal Program is simple! Work with our team to create your portal either through the choice of standard templates, or custom design one entirely on your own. Then, once you are up and running, the only thing left to do is direct consumers to your portal to shop for their needs and you will receive the benefit.
How do I register for a Web Portal?
Purchase a web portal from our catalog and our associates will then contact you to have it established.
What are the One World Blue product lines?
One World Blue currently offers a Product line of Home Décor items, ranging from household decor, kitchenware, outdoor amenities, and even something for pets. We also have a Dead Sea Cosmetic Line from the company Minus 417 and a beautiful selection of Authentic Diamond Watches.
One World Blue is continually searching for more product lines and we are working on several for the upcoming year. Chances are you know someone who may run their own business, on the side, even from home (perhaps beauty products, jewelry, or other interesting and unique gift items) -- someone who has good products to sell, but maybe has had difficulty finding their market (i.e. making them known and easily available to customers). If you know of any vendor that might like to participate in our program, please invite them to contact us at support@oneworldblue.com.
Do I have to recruit Affiliates to work with me on my Web Portal?
No. You can work independently with your own Web Portal, if you like.
Why have Affiliates and Teams?
Besides receiving commissions for products purchased via your Web Portal, another way to generate revenue through the Web Portal Program is to market the program to other Affiliates. This can be done by being a Project Manager for other Web Portals. If you are a Project Manager you will receive 30% of the gross value of all commissions from each Web Portal you have initiated. So, as a Project Manager, if you assist in creating a portal that will earn $100 in commissions, you will earn $30 (This is in addition to the $100 that the portal earns. The Project Manager’s commission is not deducted from the commission earned by the portal). One important thing to note, however, is that this is not a multi-level business. You will not receive commissions from future portals that your affiliate will initiate.
All commissions are paid through PayPal.com, a secure way to transfer money. You must have a PayPal account to receive your commissions.
All of the web traffic between a portal and the shopping site is tracked by athird party, AffiliateShop.com. Affiliate Shop will provide you with a log-in and you will be able to watch the hits your portal has generated as well as the commissions you have earned.
What is a Project Manager?
Each person who establishes a portal has the option of becoming a Project Manager and marketing the portal system. Anyone can be a Project Manager if they are willing to do the work! Being a Project Manager means having both responsibilities and great benefits.
What are the responsibilities of being a Project Manager?
The responsibilities of a Project Manager include but are not limited to:
- Guiding each project to fruition.
- Organizing marketing strategies.
- Coaching sales drives.
- Obtaining the required information for their newly established web portal, including the text, graphics, logo, and relevant videos and flash for the portal.
- Assisting the new Affiliate with setting up their PayPal account, if need be.
What are the benefits of being a Project Manager?
The principal benefit of being a Project Manager is earning additional commissions from the portals you create.
How do I earn commissions?
Each time a customer makes a purchase from the One World Blue Store by following a certain link on the Web Portal installed for you, you will receive a specific commission to the sale. All Portal owners receive a commission for sales (with the exception of a “sale item”, i.e. discounted items) through their own portal. If the Web Portal was established via a Project Manager , then the Project Manager will earn commission for sales through the portal as well.
What are the full commissions for Portal Owners
For most of the home décor products throughout the One World Blue Store, full commissions for the Web Portals operated by Sole Proprietors are:
- The standard commission paid for sales through the portal is 12%.
- If a portal has sales each month of $1,000.00 to $4,999.99 for three consecutive months, the commission is increased to 15%.
- If a portal has sales each month of $5,000.00 or more for three consecutive months, the commission is increased to 18%.
For Gourmet Popcorn from Popcorn Palace full commissions for the Web Portals operated by Portal Owners are:
- The standard commission paid for sales through the portal is 15%.
- If a portal has sales each month of $1,000.00 to $4,999.99 for three consecutive months, the commission is increased to 18%.
- If a portal has sales each month of $5,000.00 or more for three consecutive months, the commission is increased to 20%.
For the Dead Sea Product Line and the Diamond Watch Jewelry Collection, full commissions for the Web Portals operated by Portal Owners are:
- The standard commission paid for sales through the portal is 8%.
- If a portal has sales each month of $1,000.00 to $4,999.99 for three consecutive months, the commission is increased to 10%.
- If a portal has sales each month of $5,000.00 or more for three consecutive months, the commission is increased to 12%
If sales in each category fall below a previously increased threshold for three consecutive months, the commission returns to the previous level (i.e. if the commission had been increased to 15%, but then sales fall below $1,000.00 for three consecutive months, the commission will be reduced to 12%.)
PLEASE NOTE:
- It is the Web Portal owner’s responsibility to notify One World Blue when sales criteria has been met warranting an increase of that Portal’s commission (i.e. it is their own responsibility to utilize AffiliateShop.com to keep track of sales levels); One World Blue does not currently employ an automated system for review of portal sales.
- “Sale” (i.e. discounted) items in the One World Blue Store are not eligible for commissions.
What is the commission for a Project Manager?
- Project Managers earn 30% of the gross value of the commission generated by the portals which they have initiated. I.e., if the portal has earned $100, the project manager receives $30.
Please note that the earnings of the Project Manager are not deducted from the earning of the portal. If the portal generates $100, it is paid the full $100.
What factors went into the commission structure of One World Blue?
The commission One World Blue has determined for the Project Managers and Affiliates is based on the principle of Profit Sharing. Taking into consideration our revenues, our expenses for tracking affiliate transactions by AffiliateShop.com, use of PayPal, and an operational budget, we arrived at the commissions based on sharing them equitably with our Project Managers and Affiliates, who are working hard to establish beneficial projects for the good of the world and humanity.
PLEASE NOTE: One World Blue reserves the right to adjust commissions at any time, based on changing needs, the market, or profit margins from our vendors. One World Blue will notify all of our affiliates anytime such a change would take place.
How and how often do I get paid?
Participants in One World Blue's portal program are paid commissions based on their Portal's sales by Affiliate Shop (which tracks and records the purchases) once a month via PayPal (which processes the transfer of funds). In order to receive commissions from One World Blue, you must have an active and validated account with PayPal.com.
How are sales from my Web Portal recorded?
The traffic and sales of every portal is tracked by a third party called Affiliate Shop, www.AffiliateShop.com. Any web portal owner will have the ability to log into Affiliate Shop’s system anytime throughout the month to see statistics of how many visitors have gone from their Web Portal to the One World Blue Store and what commission will be paid at the end of the month.
What is PayPal and how do I register for a PayPal account?
PayPal is a safe way to transfer money and process transactions via the Internet. From PayPal.com's "About Us" section:
"PayPal is the faster, safer way to pay and get paid online. The service allows members to send money without sharing financial information, with the flexibility to pay using their account balances, bank accounts, credit cards or promotional financing. Please note that you must have a PayPal account to receive commissions.
PayPal has quickly become a global leader in online payment solutions with more than 70 million active accounts worldwide. Available in 190 markets and 19 currencies around the world, PayPal enables global ecommerce by making payments possible across different locations, currencies, and languages.
Located in San Jose, California, PayPal was founded in 1998 and was acquired by eBay in 2002."
Remember, in order to get paid for your Web Portal's transactions, you must set up a PayPal account (this is how we send money to you). Please visit PayPal.com to get started.
Does One World Blue withhold payroll taxes?
No. Web Portal owners are independent 1099 contractors, and are paid accordingly with no taxes whatsoever withheld.
What if my organization is a non-profit?
If you are operating your Web Portal on behalf of a registered 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit organization, you can indicate that when registering online. In most cases, up to 12% of every sale will benefit your organization for all direct sales from your portal. The One World Blue Web Portal Program is a fantastic fundraising tool we have created. It will bring sources of revenue to your enterprise to help meet your budget and it will help with your goals of fundraising projects throughout the year.
What are the fees associated with having a One World Blue Web Portal?
-
There is a one-time fee associated with setting up a One World Blue Web Portal. Fees vary depending on whether you are a Business or a registered Non-Profit Organization, as well as whether you elect to use a standard template and design the Portal yourself, or custom design your own template and have a One World Blue staffer implement it for you. Here are the details:
One-time Portal Set-Up Fee for Non-Profits:
Standard Template Web Portals are $50.00 dollars
Custom-designed Web Portals are $99.00 dollars
One-time Portal Set-Up Fee for Businesses:
Standard Template Web Portals are $75.00 dollars
Custom-designed Web Portals are $125.00 dollars
All Portals displaying their own products pay $15.00 dollar a month.
-
The first time a team submits a profit-sharing plan for their Web Portal to One World Blue, there is no cost. However, each subsequent time the profit-sharing arrangement is adjusted, a $50 fee is assessed. Please note that adding an affiliate to your team is not defined as an adjustment, so there is no charge for that.
This is because making the necessary adjustments is a time expense. We are happy to accommodate changes in the profit-sharing for your team, but we encourage you to make such changes thoughtfully, as it takes time for us to effect those changes on our end (hence, the fee).
-
If you include design features on your web portal which require an excessive amount of bandwidth (having numerous streaming videos to advertise your product, for example), we will charge $35 per month for hosting. Please contact us for details.
-
If you require assistance designing your website beyond a basic template, we will charge $35.00 dollars per hour for design time.
Is this a get-rich-quick scheme?
No. The One World Blue Web Portal Program operates on an Affiliate-Marketing business platform, which means it is structured by peer relationships among individuals and organizations; revenue is ultimately generated by the sale of products from the One World Blue Store. The harder you work, the more you will earn – just like any other business. Please review our IV. AFFILIATES AND PROJECT MANAGERS Policy above to read the explanation of Affiliate Marketing.
Is this a pyramid/multilevel organization?
No. While as a Project Manager you can attract Affiliates to share in the profits of a given Web Portal, there is no “up line” with the program, nor is there any requirement for Web Portal owners to recruit Affiliates; if so desired, each individual can have their own Web Portal and be the Sole Proprietor thereof. The more products customers buy from the One World Blue Store through your Web Portal, the more money everyone makes (including One World Blue in sales, and you in commissions from those sales).
Do I have to buy any products myself before selling them?
No. You do not need to purchase any products in order to participate in this program. You direct web traffic via your Web Portal to the One World Blue Store, and customers then make their purchases from our vendors there. Please review our VII. FEES Policy above to read about what fees we charge and why.
